Amazing how things change

I tell you what ...

Isn't that how some things start out if you are from 'back east'? Or is it 'hang on to my beer'? Either way, it sure means that you are expected to hear something that normally you just could not believe. You know, simple things like ...

Would you believe I went to church last Sunday?

It's true! I went to my grandparents church, and I didn't burn the soles of the feet, and it didn't get frozen over. I was a bit surprised at the latter one. Last time I stepped into a church here in AZ, we dropped 20 degrees the morning I decided I was attending church with the Wife. Maybe ya had to be there....

So to keep this post fairly short - considering it is very early AM time - the daughter has had her phone just a hair over a month. She exceeded the text limit we set before the end of the 2nd week. Wait. It only gets better. I have Alltel - bought out by Verizon. But Verizon doesn't completely take over until Oct 2009. The dumb bastard that set us up last month - well, he screwed up the entire deal we wanted so now I have to go in tomorrow (today) and bitch about how they screwed me. I am pissed enough I can't even go into details.

So I have that for 10 AM on my agenda. After that, I may be spent so much I will buy a 12 pack and spend the rest of the day on the couch. I dunno. Prolly not since the Wife has this week off on vacation.

Just be happy you are not in my world right now!

Back Home again!

Well, I made it back to hot Arizona last night. And I am up early today due to the adjustment of time. Indiana is 3 hours ahead of AZ.

Had a wonderful trip! Met many family members that I had not seen in many years. Enjoyed the nice weather, and had White Castles.

Caught my first bass ever on the first night there. Had homemade biscuits and gravy. I think overall I put on about 10 pounds whilst there. Everyone kept on feeding me like crazy.

Did Lake Michigan - well, cruised by the beaches anyways. Saw some babes. Did the family reunion and saw more babes - the ones under 2 years of age.

Okay, enough about the trip. Maybe some pics later - I don't know.

The Daughter is in Band Camp this week. Basically spending most of the day at the school learning the marching forms for this season. It is her last as she is a senior. Already though she is bitching about the heat - and I don't blame her. It was 112 yesterday. I know The Wife took her this morning with a large cooler of water. She has registration today as well.

The boys are doing good. I don't know if they were happy I was back home, but they liked the Purdue caps I got them. I got race shirts for the youngest and the Daughter. Plus a couple gifts for friends. The boys were more intent on their WoW game than anything else last night.

Sis and Stuman fly back home today from Indy. Sis had to pack somethings for me that I had no room for (about 5 thick books, and a mailbox name plate that was grandpa's) and the stuff I forgot there (spare battery and the battery charger for my camera). They won't be in til later tonight though.

We have a lot of family things coming up here in August. The 7th is Nate's bday (middle son); the 9th is my mom's 60th bday, but we can't celebrate until Stuman gets back from an Army trip to Germany - so that won't be until mid month. The In-Laws are celebrating their 50th anniversary the 15th. That means their very large family will be popping into town all that week I am sure. By Labor Day I am going to need the extra day of rest.

That's it for today! Good to be home. I missed the Wife and kids.

Last post before vacation

Well, everyone. I shall be gone for the next 2 weeks almost. Posting will be varied as I don't have a laptop, and not everywhere I am staying has a computer I am sure.

Rest assured, I will be having a wonderful time, and shall return from the homeland by the 27th. Maybe have some good stories to tell when I get back.

In the meantime, check out the links on the right. Click back here often, just in case I actually did post something.

Something for Nothing

It's Tuesday, and originally I was pretty much not going to do anything except wait the 2 days until I leave. The Wife fixed that. MORE pictures to scan. Then I renovated the whole system of keeping our photos on the computer. Then incorprated the scanned ones into the digital camera ones, and now, am almost done - 6 hours later.

But, man, it looks really bad the way I set it up!

Nothing else for ya, so here are some gun posters I found while cleaning GIGS of DUPE PHOTOS from the HD in my picture project.

Another Monday

Here it is early Monday morning. I have once again been up too late playing WoW at my sister's place. Oh well. I am leveling like a bad boy!

Weekend was good. My bro from NM came into town and we were able to get together for a bit. Another friend celebrated his birthday - that was fun.

This Friday I leave for my trip. I might be able to blog whilst on the road - depends on where I stay with computers or what not. In the meantime, posting will be a bit slow. I will be finalizing my packing, and getting all the paperwork, etc in order. I hate leaving details to the last minute.

This weekend was the annual OMBAC OTL that I was not able to attend. The boys remembered me Saturday morning though as they called, texted, and had my favorite waitress call me and complain about the excess of Jack Daniels they had this year, expecting me to be there to consume it all. I really wish I could have made it, but there is next year.

That's it for now. I think I am going to actually head home to bed.

Slow Week

The Wife, boys and I went and watched "Transformers" tonight. The boys loved it (all three of them) and the Wife enjoyed it as well. Weird, even though that particular movie was her idea.

It has been a slow week. I have done not much but try not to be anxious to leave. I still have just barely over a week.

My bro ScottyB and his wife are in town this week from NM. I shall be spending some time with them tomorrow - so prolly no post again.

Rusty the cat goes in for his final vaccines for kitty stage. Time to check into prices for neutering.

I got this piece of email today, and I agree with it for the most part. I usually am not big political here, and I won't argue with anyone about what I post. But if you're interested, read on.

Please read all the way through!!

AS I PASS THIS ON TO MANY IN MY ADDRESS BOOK I AM AWARE OF THE FACT THAT SOME DAY I MAY NOT HAVE THE FREEDOM TO DO SO. VERY SCARY THOUGHT.

I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama.

Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama! I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it.

I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that He is a one-term President!Why am I doing this?It is because I do not share Obama's vision or Value system for America;

I do not share his Abortion beliefs;

I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;

I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ ( the ceiling has been changed three times since August);

I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;

I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation; (THIS JUST SHOWS HE CERTAINLY ISN'T UP ON HIS AMERICAN HISTORY!)

I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;

I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegal than American Citizens who need help; (NO WAY, HOSEA!)

I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;

I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land; (GIMME A BREAK!)

I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);

I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America ;

I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran .

Bottom line, my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is Right!

For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!

They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years; they have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country!

They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our Society!

They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech!

Unite behind Obama? Never!I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!

PRESIDENT BUSH made mistakes during his Presidency, (EVERY PRESIDENT DOES) however; I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and "his goals for America ."

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!!

Any more compromise is more defeat!I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America !

"Error of Opinion may be tolerated where Reason is left free to combat it." - Thomas Jefferson

"If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."- Ronald Reagan

GOD BLESS AMERICA , AND AMERICA , BLESS GOD!

Kinda sums it all up pretty good for me.

It's almost like brand new!

About an hour ago I made it home from the car garage. The car is fixed and running fine. They did have to completely replace the radiator. I got the joy of sitting in the waiting area for 4+ hours to get this accomplished. But the good news is I didn't have to pay anything. Everything was under warranty.

And that is all the excitement I have today. I am off to watch Stargate Atlantis.

Only 10 more days.

Monday, I frown upon thee

For some reason, I have always hated Mondays. Even if that day were the 'Friday' of my work week, I would still not like them. Maybe it is some kind of connotation in the word. I don't know.

The weekend was good. Family had a good time. Played some World of Warcraft. Remembered how addicting games like that can be. Spent the 4th up all night playing it, then slept most of Sunday afternoon.

I was supposed to take my car into the shop today to have them look at the radiator. It started leaking last week, and today would have been the first chance for them to look at it. Should be under warranty since the whole thing was just replaced this past March, and I don't drive the car much. Unfortunately, due to the night up over the weekend, I think it was hard to get up this morning, and I didn't arise until late. I'll have to ask the Wife if she even tried to wake, but I sleep like the dead. She might have, she might not have. Either way, I'll ask her to be sure I am up in the morning so I can get it in. The car to the shop that is.

Eleven days to go until I leave for my trip. Everything has been confirmed - I have addresses for most places I need. I have gone shopping and gotten some really nice clothes and am basically ready to pack. This is the hard part - waiting.

Nothing else much to write about today. Tune in tomorrow for more non-exciting stuff.

Another holiday is here

Tomorrow is July 4th - the day we celebrate our country's freedom!! Happy 4th to you all!

So with today being the 3rd, everything else is going to hell in a handbasket.

I called the shop about getting my car in - can't until Monday. Can't go anywhere else because it should be under warranty with this particular garage.

I woke up near the daily time the Wife leaves for work, and she was still asleep. I anxiously awoke her to find out she has the day off from work - never told me. Then she is walking around griping about finding som immuno clinic for the boys. I told her it wasn't around any more. After 30 minutes of phone books, plus internet searches, I think she finally realized it. I gave her the county's #.

Off to get book together for the book store. Always use more credit.

Another day in the steaming pits of the Wife's discontent

That's one hell of a post title, but I think it pretty much still fits. Yesterday morning, I figured I would have to wait until she got home to go get my car. I was wrong again. At 10:30am the bar calls me. Seems they were tearing up the parking lot that day to re-do it, and my car was right it in the middle. I had to call a cab to get there to get my car home.

Yeah, that's not too bad. At least it wasn't impounded or whatnot. But then later that afternoon, I notice it is dripping fluid from the radiator. I couldn't find the leak, but I just had the radiator replaced in March. So I found the paperwork, and will be going to the garage tomorrow to see what story they can find so the warranty won't cover it.

I don't think the Wife has said more than 5 words to me. In some ways, that's kind of nice.

I got some decent movies in to watch today. "Taken", "Eagle Eye", and Puisher:Warzone". I got punisher for the kids.

Okay, I am off for some hot dogs and chips and a movie!

wondering...

It was a Tuesday night. Not a typical one, but one that evidently got a tad bit out of hand. How do I know? My car is not in my drive. But I knew long before that fact.

It started as a decent day. I was enjoying a good book and a brew. A friend showed up, and things started to worsen. But I was blind. I did not see things coming.

Within a few hours, one friend was asked to leave the place. She was a bit upset at a particular person, but bartender rules - she had to go. As the remaining two of us contemplated this change of events, the partaking of some adult beverages took place.

By closing time, I was ready for home. I was in my car, and had just turned it around (in the parking lot, and was talking to my friend, when Phoenix's best interrupters of a good time showed up. I was allowed to park the car, and get a ride home at least.

The Wife wasn't exactly thrilled at 2:30'ish when I called.

We dropped my buddy off, and proceeded home - me catching an earful most of the way.

Needless to say, it is Wednesday, and my car is not here. Guess I will have to wait til after 6 when she gets home, to ride me up there and get it.

16 days and counting down.
