Worn out or just old?

I'm tired. Seems like I have been busier than normal this week, but in truth I haven't been. Don't know if that is part of getting older, or just getting lazier. Prolly the latter more than the former - I know Smitty would say so.

I am in the process of doing all my video downloads that my uncle has emailed me this past week. Here is a good one of Indianapolis for anyone that cares to see it - sing is pretty good too for the video. Here's the link.

Not much else going on. The oldest is working the football car wash this morning - only reason I am up this early. The Wife is taking the daughter for her annual eye exam and glasses replacement. Another $300 or so spent. The other boys are at the mercy of whatever else is going on.

My big Bro Scotty B is in town this weekend, so I look forward to seeing him tonight. Our team has the first softball game this Sunday - a double header. I am hoping to make it to the 2nd game after the son's football pictures tomorrow morning.

Update more later. Meanwhile, a couple pics I got in the mail.

A Challenge? OR just a great idea?

I have been called out upon in a challenge, it seems. KeesKennis has evidently taken to heart my feelings about a pic he had posted last week, where I had "brought to mine better eyesight" a couple pics I posted last Friday.

Alas, you must read his post before going further, so you understand more of the situation. Go here.

Now that you are back, let's see if I can follow those rules he has set down. And who is to say that it is for Mondays only??

Let's start with some prayer ...
And now maybe some music too? For you band geeks - LOW BRASS KICKS ASS! Right Freddie?
Okay, that concludes the beer portion for today. We can move right along into the boobies section (sorry Reverend mother). I try to be somewhat not quite too R rated, and today I think I managed to keep it a good PG-13. Maybe some other days I won't ::shrug:: who knows?

Gotta like that two for the price of one!! And Danielle below, not too bad by herself neither!!

Lastly, I give you a bonus!! I call this one "Caught in the Act"!! I wonder what I would do in that situation?

Okay, I am done for the day now. Kees, I luv ya buddy! Keep on, keepin' on!!

A Reason to be Happy

Welcome to Good Friday. Of course, I like to think of all Fridays as good. Some are even great!

Let’s start off by thanking all those that participated in the IMDB meme that I threw up. I found out that there are a few bloggers out there that share some similar interest in movies. Of course, there are a few of you out there that share the same interest in books as well. I went ahead and plugged in the answers in RED for those quotes that were not completed.

Easter weekend is here and many of us, I am guessing, are going to be having family dinners on Sunday. I know my family is getting together at my sister’s place for the afternoon. I know she is planning an Easter egg hunt in her backyard for the kids. I am in charge of dessert for the meal, so I guess I will run by the store and pick up a pie and some ice cream. Thought about making my Cherry Delight, but just not in the mood.

I finally got my ass back into the gym this morning. With things being so slow at work, I have just had the blah-tiredness of doing nothing, that when I leave work, I don’t feel like going there. So I figured if I start getting up just a bit earlier in the morning, I can do a work out and head to work. This was the first morning I made it up and out of bed in time to go. My Step dad was surprised to see me walk in the gym. He was just finishing his work out. Overall was not a bad thing. I found out I can wait about another half hour prior to going though – I made it to work an hour early. No sense wasting more time at the office if I don’t need to.

Condolences out to Jeff for the passing of his father. A big high five to GuyK for his continued recovery on the shoulder. I bigger high five to Sweetthing for dealing with his ornery ass during this time. Who else can we throw some link-live too? How about Hoosierboy – he has a nice little story today at his place. Added a new link for Anthroslug – brother to the Death Chic. Hope everyone traveling is having a good time – Richmond, Dash and Yabu. I know I am forgetting a few of you like Freddie, JB, and Dazd – and many more. Just click all them blogs on the list.

Throwing out some link appreciation

Yeah, I suppose I could be nice and do this every once in awhile. I have an decent sized list of blogs on the sidebar, that I read daily. I know quite a few of you readers have found some favorite places from them (Sailynn I know did). Rest of ya, well, have your own blogs and I prolly found the link originally through you. It don't matter though. Everybody likes some linky-love.

First off we'll mention Big Dick. He's got a nice little queer fight going on over there currently in comments. I had a good laugh at it today. Then he is also talking about maybe shutting down his blog since he is close to having a book published. I think everyone ought to go over and encourage him to keep the site. What would we do without our Fatty Friday pics? And heck, what about the queer bashing and smacking the heads of the political stupid? Yeah, it'd be a bad thing if he closed shop.

Next up is Rex over at Deer Camp. This boy knows how to do a damn fine campfire story, and he has one posted today. Go on and check it out - way freaky! I like them there campfire stories, and even the hunting tales as well. Better than the usual fish tales I been hearing lately. He also has a nice group getting started called the Outdoor Bloggers Summit, and ya don't have to be a blogger to sign up. Check it out.

If ya wanna talk about moving, there is several reads that you can catch. Going alphabetically, you have Dragon's Den, and then there is One More for the Road, and finally Warts 'N All. All three of these ladies have recently moved their families into new residences, and you can sure feel sorry for them as they gripe and moan about everything that isn't going right. I ain't saying they do nothing but whine, but you understand how they feel, especially when things work out right in the end... as we hope they do.

Dang, I was going to keep going on, but I got so many on my list I want to mention, but I would be here typing all day if I did that. Just start going click crazy over there as I am sure you'll find something ya like. In the meanwhiles, I am off to have some lunch, and check with the boss about leaving early today, since I have nothing else to do. I wonder if I can get out of here by 3'ish....

5 days left for EOM

Oh, how I effing hate EOM. The only part that I think is actually good, is that I can vent my frustration upon anyone that dares to stick their head into my domain. Three very new LO's found that out today. No mercy for the weak.

And because it is that wonderful time called EOM, I am not going to have much to post over the next few days. I am already starting to put some extra hours into work, to close about 10 deals before the 8th. That is the Big, Bad, Date I have been handed. Why? Ohhhhhhhh, I wish I could share, but you know how corporations are about their secrets. Be sure I will spill in a few days, especially when I get more info.

Now, because I have nothing better to do, let's throw out some linky-love!

Redneck Scottsdale Princess - just because yer local, and we still need to party together sometime

Freddie over at Warts 'n all - She just writes good stuff

Maeve at Bartender, Another Round - because we all say that 'nother round stuff, and she likes good whiskey, too

Okay ladies, enjoy the linky-love. I think I am out of this place for the day. Y'all come back later and see if something actually happens around here.

Countdown to EOM - 1 more day left

Whoo! Wait a busy day so far! God, I love being back in my old position! In 2 weeks I have closed a possible 4 loans - which is half of what the other 2 processors have completed for a whole month! Dman, I like it when I am good!

Here's today's linkage to funny: Tuesday Funny Pic

Freddie was posting today about smells from her younger years, and that got me to thinking about my growing up days. I know from my birth through 12 years I had a variety of animals either I raised or were being raised by the family. My sister and I both had horses (hers white, mine brown) named Sugar and Spice, respectively. I personally don't remember them as I was pretty small (HA! Me using that word to describe my size), but Grandpa had some old fmaily movies on 8mm that shows me riding the horse and Dad hanging on beside me. Then there was the hog we had penned int he backyard. He didn't last long, and to this day I wonder if Dad just got rid of him, or had him butchered up. I know we used that same pen for our large dog we got sometime after that, named Pumpkin. He was some sort of hound, but I never knew what kind. He eventually was sold to someone that lived over 50 miles away, and 2 days later showed back up at the front door as we were leaving. Dad had to drive back out with him to the new owner's place. I remember he weren't to happy 'bout that deal.

I started raising rabbits for 4-H when I was about 9. Plus we had a few mixed breeds Dad & used to butcher in the late fall. Nothing like a good rabbit stew on snow days from school! After we moved from there "into the city" just the step-mom's damn chihuahua named Marybell. Nastiest little f'ing dog I ever met. Dad and I always called her Turtlebait behind my SM's back. I swear, that dog couldn't get any fatter, as her belly already rubbed the ground 2 inches across her chest. Wouldn't let anyone near my SM - not even dad. Sounds bad, but I was glad the day they had to put her to sleep...

But we were talking of animals and smells. Nothing like the smell of a good pig farm that always reminds me of home. The teasing the kids in the car "Who farted?" and the laughs as everyone blames everyone else. Or the better times when someone is able to squeeze one out, loud, whilst we're funnin' around. Makes me think of roadtrips we did to my grandparents up in Elkhart, IN, and playing 'Zap 'Em' with horses. How many of you remember that game? Count your zaps, and hope no one sees a cemetary and shouts "Bury 'Em!" before you do, and lose your points. Heh, I was never good at that one. Nor "Road Alphabet". That's why I usually read if I could.

So there ya go. A little of my past to bore yourself and help you sleep. Good news for those of you interested is I have the results from the Dr. on my younget's heart. There is a slight muscle tension near one of the valves in his heart, but is nothing abnormal. The heart murmur may appear over the next several well-check-ups, but will eventually disappear. All that damn worrying for nothing, and extra medical bills too. Gotta luv it. Alright, enuff of me already. Y'all have a good one, and we'll catch up wit' ya menana.
