More Appointments - And An Anniversary

I am getting kind of tired of all the appointments I have been having to make recently. Did the Doctor last Thursday, so that meant I needed to do one for the labs (Monday). Then Monday, my low pressure light came on again, and I noticed that one tire was a little low, AND I had hit 5K miles over the weekend, so the vehicle needed to get into the shop. Yesterday I spent about an hour at Toyota while they did whatever the 5K check-up is. Not an oil change though, because that is supposed to be good until 10K now. Well, I asked them to look at the tire as well, and they said they found the puncture, but it would cost $270 for the dealership to do the replacement, AND they couldn't get the right size tire until later in the week. SO I said no, I would get it somehow to Discount. So today I have yet another appoinment for 3pm at Discount to replace the tire (which was rotated to the driver back - need to remember that). Sigh.

Work has been ... spotty. Due to the appointment times (I try for late in the afternoon so I can get a full day of work) I have been starting as early as I am able. Monday was good, Tuesday by 7am there was no work left, and they mentioned changing us to a new project. Checked back 4 hours later, and we were staying ont he same project, moving to the next level of review. I had done this previously, but they wanted me to redo the training. Two hours of video later...sigh. I get started, and then I had to leave for my appt. This morning, I log in to finish what I started yesterday, then find out no more work. Told again to wait 4 hours and see what happens. It is almost that time now.

Today marks the 31st year of our wedding. I don't know what type of gift (paper, wood, silver, etc) this year would be, and it truly doesn't matter as we haven't done gifts for each other in years. We chose to get out of town for a couple days usually, and we did last weekend as our time away and together, spending it with our granddaughter. Hard to believe it has been that long, but with 4 kids (oldest 30, youngest 16) I guess it has to be.

Alrighty, I need to get out of here and check my emails before getting back online with work, and see what they are going to do with me. I almost wouldn't mind a couple free days....

Hangry as Heck

Today you get a partial post that started later in the day on Monday. Only because as I was working, I realized there was more I wanted to blab about. For starters, I am HUNGRY! I got up earlier than usal so I could get a full day of work in before going to my afternoon lab appointment. An hour into work, I had a granola bar for breakfast. Morning continues, and around 10 I started getting hungry for lunch. AS I am looking int he fridge for leftovers, or something I can microwave quick, I remembered I was supposed to be fasting for 8 hours prior to my appointment. Oh well, guess it will only be about 7 hours. I still have about 2-3 hours yet before I can get something to eat, and now it seems all I can think about is how hungry I am. Hungry? No, hangry. I am being crabby even when I am talking to myself (because no one else is here). Argh!

Whilst in Tucson we went to dinner at a place near the Daughter's house. It was called Dominick's Real Italian. I was leery about what the food might be like (the 'real' in the title). It was a smallish place, in a shoppping center, though not a stand-alone building. They had a place for some outside dinig, though we ate inside. They had average prices, and not a lot in selections. I opted for the Dominicks Chopped Salad, entree size, as it was the only thing that sounded good to me. The salad was good and filling!

Sunday we just IHOP for brunch, and I was frustrated with them. I ordered a burger, and fries for the side. They are out of fries. I opted for onion rings. They are out of onion rings. The onlt two side options left were two pancakes or a side salad. I am not a fan of pancakes, so chose the salad, with 1000 Island. They are out of 100 Island dressing. Do they Italian dressing? No but did have some kind of vinagrette, so I tried it. Wasn't bad, but I wasn't wanting a salad with my burger. I just couldn't believe they are out of fries, even if they promote breakfast more than other things.

Tuesday: So, already this morning I got an email saying the results of the lab work are in. I'll prpbably look at them, and have to wait until the 18th at the next Dr appointment, to actually have them explained to me.

Today is hopefully another day of work. The team was told last week we would be moving up to the next stage once the current workload finished. It should have been done yesterday afer I logged out for the day. Guess I'll find out here in a afew. Then I have another appointment - this one at the dealership for an oil change. Went over the 5000 mark whilst drivingthis weekend.

Okay, that's it until tomorrow.

Edit: Well, that next step at work didn't happen, but was re-assigned to a new project with a 5 hour wait until it starts. Hope they get me the access to it prior to that time....

Back to the Grind

Oh, it felt good to return home yesterday from our trip to Tucson. We had done brunch then headed back arriving home in the early afternoon. I had told the Wife I was not going to sit around getting tired/sleepy then driving back late at night, on a Sunday, when there were things I needed to get done prior to Monday morning. She was agreeable (yea!) and so that's what we did.

I noticed over the weekend, that this new HBD med I am on, or re-starting after several years, is making me a little light-headed. I think my body is adjusting to the change in blood pressure. Today I go to get the labwork started. Then it is waiting time until the 18th.

Not much to say today.

So Much To Look Forward To ...

So I went to the docotr yesterday. A new one (to me). He seemed alright. We agreed my BP was high, and needed some medication to bring it down. So I will be going over to the drug store today after work to pick up that prescription. Of course, he wants to go getthe regular labwork done, since it has been years since my last, and they need a baseline. I set that appointment up this morning for Monday, as it was the earliest I could get. Then he asked that question I was not looking forward to: colonoscopy.

I am not scared of getting one. The Doc did send out a referral request to my insurance and I should know more about scheduling one in the next couple weeks (I was told). I just don't like the thought of someone putting a camera up my ass, when I don't feel there are any issues. My stools are fine, regular, and regular-looking, so why do I need this checked? Colon Cancer. You may not know you have it. I got that - but (butt?) still....

On the plus side of getting my colon checked, my HBP under control, checking on my A1C levels (I have been borderline for years for diabetes (Wilfred Brimley voice - "DIE-A-BEET-US!") and those cholesterol levels, I found out how much I weigh. Now I am a big boy (yes, really) and the estimated weight on hte forms I filled out was 25 pounds heavier than what the actual weight was. So I feel good about that.

When I logged into work today, I see we have enough on this project to probably work today, then be completed. Another Team Member asked yesterday after I wwas gone, about moving to a new project. The higher-up muckity-mucks say that the plan is to move us to a new project on Monday, so continued work is a possibility.

Got my new VFW plate in, and will be putting it on the car this afternoon. I think I will take the car and get it washed prior to our trip this weekend as well. I am sure there will be enough bug splatters/dust by the time we get there, but it will look good in the meantime. Maybe tahe the Youngest with me and have him help vacuum it out, though it isn't bad at all since I hardly drive it. More dusty on the outside from just sitting in the drive.

Welp, I should get back to working.

It's Doctor Day!

My doctor appointment is this afternoon. It is the first one I have set up since ... I don't know. About five years? This morning I did the online check-in to confirm the appointment, sent pictures of my card, went through the basic health questionairre, completed the additional questionairre they had, and now I think, this whole appointment should only last long enough for them to take my blood pressure, realize it is high, then send me off to Walgreen's while they call in a prescription. That's how I hope it goes. I now by the time I start to head that way I will feel apprehensive. Sure hope this Doc isn't like my last one.

Work has been good. Finished one project on Monday, assigned to another that afternoon to start Tuesday, and this one is expected to go thru Friday. Already the Manager has said that when this one ends, he plans on moving us to another project he is starting on Monday.

Oh. The tire issue I had ... well, it disappeared. When I took it up to Discount, they could not find any leakage. They cleaned out the fix a flat gunk, put in a new sensor, and put the tire back on. No charge. It has been holding air like normal since then. I wonder if it was a leak along the tire seal. Guess I'll never know. At least it should be good for the trip this weekend.

Need to get back to work.

Stick *THAT* In Your .... Tire

Welp, yesterday, later in the morning, I got to thinking I would just do a can of the fix flat and have an extra one in the car. So went to the Auto store, bought two cans, came home and hooked one up. Back when I had used a can of this years before, it would inflate the tire, as well as put in that sealant gunk, but I guess nowadays it don't do that. So I asked the Wife if we had a compressor somewhere, and she found an old one that one of the boys had had in their car. Supposedly it worked, but not all the time. I fiddled around with for several minutes trying to get anything, but nothing happened. Ended up having to go back to the auto store and get a compressor. At least I got one now for my car.

Got the tire aired up, and drove a few miles over to the pub. After a couple hours, I went out to check the tire, and it looked fine. I headed over to another pub to meet up with a friend for a bit, and while enroute, the tire pressure light came on again. After a couple beers there, I came out to a half flat tire. Again I filled it up to just over 30 psi, and drove home. The pressure light was still on, I think becaus eI just hadn't filled it up as well as I should have.

This morning I go out to check it, expecting it to be flat again, but it looked about the same as it did last night when I got home. I did make an appointment online for Discount, and will be heading up there in about an hour. Maybe they can patch/plug the tire. I can't find any puncture, so who knows. Worst scenario is I have to buy a new tire.

So I got up early to start work at the bright time of 6am (which I like) and around 1pm we finished up the project (two days early). Allegedly they stated that they would split this group into two, and assign each to a project(s) currently going on, so I expect an email at some point with the info I need for tomorrow.

Jsy so much excitement all up in the house, let me tell you.

Sometimes, It Just Gets Wasted

Ugh. It is still early, pre-dawn in AZ at this 5:00 am hour. It won't be long before the sun will be up and over the mountain almost this early in the morning. Thanks Summertime. I have no clue what woke me around an hour ago, but I just could not get back to sleep, so here I am.

It is only Sunday morning, but this weekend feels like it has been "wasted". Yesterday morning, I was woken up by the sound of the Middle Son coming by the house. He and the Youngest were going to Tucson to visit their sister and stay overnight. Our first night in I can't remember being with no kids at home. We have traveled alone overnight before, but never alone at home. The Wife had to attend a Continuing Education course, and had to be gone for nearly half the day, across the Valley no less. After class, ahe came home bringing a late lunch for us from Taco Bell. Then the Wife proceeded to pretty much nap the next few hours away. when it was time for dinner, we decided to go to the Outback near our house -convenient, close-by, and well...they have steak.

We walked out the door, and headed towards my vehicle, when I nnoticed I had a front tire that was flat. The night before I had noticed the low tire pressure light had come on, and I checked the tires, but seemed fine, though this one had looked a little low. I guess the leak was slow enough it didn't flatten out all the way until I was home. I had not driven at all Saturday, so never noticed until we were going to dinner. Something to get fixed, but I was hungry at that moment so we took the Wife's car.

Outback: needless to say, I don't recall it being as expensive as it was, and the service, though was decent, made us feel like they were trying to rush us through our meal. I don't think we will be returning their anytime soon. After dinner, I retired to the computer, the Wife to her phone. It was nearing the 9 o'clock hour, and I was just feeling mentally/physically tired and just wanted to get some sleep. I forced myself to stay awake until 11pm, then went to bed, read for 20 minutes finishing the newest Mark Greaney, and was out. Until 4 am.

Today - the boys are do back from their overnight out of town, at which time I will shanghai them into changing the tire out on my car. I'll get on the ol' Discount Tire website and see about an appointment for Monday afternoon to take it in. Hoping it is able to be plugged/fixed, versus a new tire, but need to have it fixed either way. The Wife and I are going to Tucson this coming Saturday to celebrate our 31st. Don't want any flats on the way there or back. I was going to do a can of fix a flat, but with the upcoming traveling, I don't think so.

I guess that's all I got for now....

Multi-Post Friday

I don't usually do more than one post per day (or a week at times) but today I kind of felt driven to do so. As I am working, I have random things run through my head, like thnigs I need to do, or want to get done, and when I will have the time and resources to do so. One thought through my head this morning was about my car (SUV?). I just bought this brand new last year, and noticed that even then, the A/C would emit a weird, mold-like smell at times. Some research online said it was more than likely due to the condensation build-up in the A/C system/vents. There wasn't any really good way to "fix" the issue, but many sites recommended using a high-strength odor repellant.

I was at the store one day and saw some of these vent air freshners from Febreze with a scent I knew I liked (fresh linen). It was a two-pack. These have worked pretty good for the past six months, and I had been meaning to get to the sttore or car store and see if I could get some more. I decided to do a quick look on Amazon (free delivery so I don't have to go to the store) and found a 5-pack for a decent price. Obviously I ordered it.

Out of curiousity, I scrolled down to the reviews section. The very first review just had me laughing, so am sharing here. This is a direct copy of that review.

I needed something powerful enough to mask the scent of my balls. See, I work at a shipyard in Florida and between the humidity and heat, I draw up a thick, cheesy layer of gunk below my under carriage and this odor seeps into my work jeans eventually making it's way onto my auto seat. Now you can imagine the 30 minute ride home night after night on I-95. The pungent stench seeps it's way time and time again deep into the cloth of my 86 nissan sentra. Talk about wear and tear. Thankfully these air freshners mask the scent and the ladies I pick up on Tinder have no clue or at least that's what I think. Smells like roses to me. Great product, wish it lasted longer.

Just too funny!

I Finally Did It

For the past few months, off and on anyways, I have been trying to find a medical doctor. I have not regularly seen a doctor for almost 5 years. There has been an ER visit, but that is not regular care, and I did not follow up with the last doctor I was seeing. In short, I did not like him. When I first moved out here my HS freshman year, I actually went to the doctor's father, as he was the doctor RM went to see. I only saw him like once I believe, for the updated tetanus, etc shot for school. After that, it was a rare visit: shots for allergies for awhile, then pretty much nothing for years. Around age 40 I decided to get back to seeing a doctor, and was assigned to his son, who practiced in the "family business". At first I liked him. He was younger, and seemed more up to date on issues/treatments.

This Doctor scheduled me for visits every thirty days. This meant I also had to do a visit to the lab company for fresh results for each visit. I was placed on blood pressure medication, and that dosage never changed over the course of almost 8 months. In fact, nothing changed from the first visit with this doctor, he just would not give me a 6-month prescription (or longer). Only 30 days at a time. After 8 months, I just quit going to see him. When my prescription ran out, I just did without.

Move forward several years, I ended up having a work comp injury. I returned to this PCP as I had neverbothered to find a new doctor, and he had my previous medical anyways. Again was put on a HBP med, and he started doing the every 30 day thing again. I went a total of three times, asking each time for the 6-month to a year follow-ups and was denied. Screw it. Now it has been almost 5 years, and I realize I need to start taking better care of myself, but I refuse to go back to this doctor.

I began asking friends for recommendations for a doctor. I was referred by many to their own PCP, and a few I did call about setting up an appointment. Most I called were not taking on new patients. We were in the middle of the whole Covid crap, and I am guessing they were just overwhelmed. A few I called (including just trying to find a doc near me) would take on a new patient, but the appointment had to be made 4-6 months out. It was frustrating.

The other night, as I was sitting with a friend at the pub, this convo kinda came up about docs, and he suggested a location he goes to, that is not too far from us. I put it off yesterday. I was apprehensive about calling, let alone going to see a doc. So, this morning, I looked up the information for this place, and made the call. I have an appointment for next Thursday. Yes, less than a week out. I am amazed. Add to this, they are associated with the hospitals out here, particularly, the one I had my last visit(s) to, all the way back to 2016, so I do not have to doo all that paperwork, as most of it was already available to them. I am impressed!

So, for once that item of stress for me has been done, aside from actually going to the appointment, which will be easy. I hope to walk out of there with a 'script for the HBP, and maybe a 30-60 day follow-up, to be sure the dosage does not need to be adjusted. I'm even willing to do lab work at least once.

Other than that, it is Friday. I stayed home last night to avoid the amatuers, and was up early today so I can finish work in the early afternoon. A friend and I are going to check out a different VFW tonight, to see if we like it better than the one we regularly go to. It is a bit closer (a couple miles) than the other one.

No plans for the weekend. Guess this 15 minute break is over so I gotta get back to work.

Amatuer Night

Today marks St Patrick's Day. In my ripened, old mind, I really see no reason for this holiday to be celebrated here in the US. LAst year I may have felt different, as 'why not a holiday to drink and celebrate'. I know I have done my share of holiday drinking (other holidays included) and why should this one be any different? Because of Newbs. Amatuers. Beginners. Over-glorified wanna-bes. Wusses. Punks. Dumbasses.

For the past several years, I actually do not go out for St Patrick's Day. And the few times I have gone out, have been just those kind of nights that one just shakes their head, and stays away from the weirdos. These lil punks that drink that White Claw, or other seltzers, think they can do Irish car bombs all night long? I thnk not. Pour that Jameson back like Gatorade? Hardly. Drive that vehicle in a straight line down the road? Surely you must be joking. Like I said: Amatuer Night.

Talking to a friend last night, he agreed about us not meeting up (as is our norm for Thursday) since of what today is. Another has texted me this morning, saying he was staying home tonight because of the rookies.

What a Day. So why do we celebrate today?

A Little Time Off

My last project for the Company ended around midday Thursday. One of the first things I completed Monday morning was to contact the Company and "remind them" that I was available for any upcoming projects. That afternoon I was contacted about one, and of course let them know I was interested. Yesterday I received the details of said project, and today, around 1pm AZ time I get to start. This one is only for a week, but may lead into some Quality Control work (which is at a higher pay grade, and I could use more practice at). Worse case, is after a week it's back to waiting on another new project.

Youngest is on Sprong Break this week. No big plans to do anything. I think he slept most of the day yesterday, though Monday the Middle Son had woke him up early (before me) and he did spend the whole day awake. I've been thinking of doing Subway for lunch today, so if he isn't up by 10'ish I'll wake him and tell him if he wants a sandwich he has to go with me. I can't remember what he wants on it, etc. Besides, won't hurt for him to get up and ride along.

With the late start in the day for this new project, I suppose I will be working until 5-6pm. LAter in the day than I like. But starting tomorrow I can start as early as 6am (thanks for daylight savings!) and be done at 2pm. I still need to run to Walgreens to pick a card out, and some chocolates I figure, for a little get-together at the pub tonight. One of my good friend's girlfriend is celebrating her bday a day early. Which works out fine. I hate going out on St Patricks Day due to all the amatuer drinkers on the road.

Welp, Guess I should go make sure the Wife is up and getting ready for work since I am up early today.

Saturday Shenanigans

The Wife "forgot" to turn off her M-F alarms this morning, so aside from my 1am and 4:30am wake-ups by Mother Nature, I got two additional ones at 6 and 6:30. At that point, the dog was barking to be let out and be fed. I knew at that point there was no return to sleep, and got up. Middle Son had swung by after work and picked up his younger, planning on coming back by to help with some yard work. The Wife and I talked briefly before me rising from bed, about the days plans. She has a couple errands to do, and I want to get out to the Discount Grocery for some things. Just another Saturday it seems.

I did not redo my resume yesterday. I did email the Company as per the new protocol and did everything but give them a new resume. Will see if it makes a difference I guess.

Welp, I manage to piss off the Wife already. She came in here just now and I guess read part of this post. She stated she didn't "forget" to turn her alarms off, she had them set as she wanted to get to the Market on the Move this morning. "Now everyone thinks I am a bitch", she says. I said no, and that I would correct it to  explain the true situation (of which I was not aware, even though she supposedly told me her plans - which did not include Market on the Move). And besides, I only have like three readers anyways.... Sigh. Cannot win somedays.

So I have a couple hours to kill (people) before I can get out to the grocery. Guess I'll surf the net....

Burning Some Oil

It's the Midnight Hour. I know, because seeing that little clock at the bottom right tells me, it's a bit past midnight. I don't care. I got home two hours ago. Got some shit going through my head, that I just can't rest, though I laid down and tried, until the Wife was sleeping. Sigh.

ARGH! Got shit on my mind, as a human, as a person, as .... flipping fill the blank! It sucks! I have a situation, that I cannot explain in this venue, that I'm not sure what the best solution is. I have like 5 ways to fix/make good on this, but not sure of the results. And we want 100% on the results. Maybe if I was an engineer I could figure this out better - no, I don't think so. Heh. It's gonna get solved soon though.

So, work finished up for me yesterday. Once again I'm on the list for "hey, when you need me" I feel. Not entirely true. I think I shared earlier this week they have a new 'process' they want to use. Oh Joy. So my Friday gets spent trying to create/enhance my resume, per their requirements. Sigh.

I'm sighing a lot tonight. I'm sure there is a reason, that I can't share, as to why that is. But hey, at least 7 of my 8 fingers are working well!

Foggy in the Head

Last night I went out for a bit. It was Tuesday, and there is a hot dog vendor that sets up outside one of my regular pubs that I like to order from. But that was not why I went out. Yesterday was my Dad's birthday, even though he has been gone since 1985, yet it is the day that I chose to be a day of remembrance for him. I mean, I think of him throughout the year, but this day is his. A couple friends joined me, and we lifted a few to Dad. Needless to say, getting up early this morning was a feat that required extra effort. I can't drink like I used to when I was younger.

Work is moving along. Monday they mentioned it may end Thursday or Friday, but looking at the progress being made as of today, it may not last through the end of today. I'm okay with that. I may take the next couple days free and then send an email over the weekend stating available next week. Of course, I still need to find and update the resume before I can do that, according to the new policy. Hopefully this new workflow procedure will allow projects to get to me more often than the recent months have shown.

Welp, I guess I should finish up this break and get back to work.

Easing Into It

Later in the afternoon yesterday, I got that email. The one I had been waiting to hear if I made it to the project this week. Thankfully, it did include a time the managers wanted to have the incoming people in a meeting, to briefly go over the details that vary on these jobs. It is nice to say that I got to sleep in as the meeting isn't until late in the morning. I did get up early though and logged into the system to make sure I had access to the programs and documents needed. That all checked out this morning, so logged back out until the meeting time.

There was another email from the Company earlier last week. From the HR department, stating they were creating a new way for the employees to show when they are AVAILABLE to work projects. Supposedly this new way of doing things will alert them better about who (and what skills) are able to work. It stated each time we email in our availability to include a new/current resume. I guess I will have to dig in the archives of my external drive to see if I can find my last one, then update it to show this company for the past year and a half. Such a pain.

Doodad's birthday is coming up this next month, so Saturday I decided I needed to start looking around for a gift for her. Which means flipping through Amazon to see what they got. After being on there awhile I did find her a toy I think she would like, and that isn't noisy or overly destructive. I should send a link so that the Daughter will know and give final approval (even though I ordered it Saturday, and it arrived yesterday). I'm just playing nice asking for the approval - either way Doodad will get it. Papaw's rights!

Early last week I had paid up the next two years on the Wife's car registration, and mine is due before the end of the month. I had been looking at specialty plates, and personalizing the plate for my car. After several days of thinking how to personalize, within the specs allowed, and the Wife came up with one that I liked. So did all that this weekend and expect the plate and tags probably later this week. Did a VFW Auxiliary plate, so each year, 17.50 of the $25 I pay for the plate goes to AZ VFW Aux. fund. Not to my direct post, but the state general fund.

Been eye-ballin' the littl' clocky-thingy in the bottom right corner, and need to get this closed off and logged into work.

Guess Work

I am thinking the project finished up this last week. There has been no contact since they were supposedly talking to the client on Thursday. I was at least expecting a short email saying that it was done...but no. Instead late yesterday I got an email asking if I was available for a new project starting Monday around 11 am. I went ahead and said I was. I'm guessing that was their way of letting us know the other was finished, and I did not want to waste any time in signing up for the next one. Worst case scenario is I'll admit due to lack of communication on their part, I wanted to be sure I was working. Sometimes I don't understand the Company.

No major plans for the weekend. Was woken early today by the Middle Son coming by to do some stuff with the Youngest. After that, I just couldn't get back to sleep, and the Wife's daily alarms going off within that hour didn't help. I understand setting them for M-F, but why on weekends? Then again, I don't know if she is trying to get up early for a head start to one of those produce thingies. Last week she went, as they were having green beans (I love fresh green beans) and she missed out. They were all out by 9am. I should go nudge her to find out. Wouldn't want to miss it again.

Last night the Wife arrived home from work with KFC. If y'all don't know what that it, it's Kentucky Fried Chicken, and has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Only RM's cole slaw is better than KFC's. Anyways, for all the years we been married (31 as of later this month) the Wife has always bought from KFC's competitor (out here) called Church's. Now Church's ain't bad, but it is not extra-crispy KFC, with 12 herbs and spices. And their slaw isn't as good. We have two Churches within a couple miles of us, but KFC is a bit further. Either way, last night she said she got the KFC because it was 'on the way home' even it were a bit more cost. I said I prefer it better anyways. Except she didn't get the extra crispy. And didn't get the slaw. Pout.

Anyways, enough ramblin' today.

In Limbo

Work has been a bit ... wacky this week. Tuesday, we had "finished" the workload by mid day, were told to log out, and watch our email for instructions. Some people were being transferred to another project, and others were going to remain on this one for upcoming additional work. Later, I received notice I was remaining on this project and new material would be available by 9am the next morning. There was enough work for the few of us left on this project, to get us through the day. This morning, the Company is meeting with the client in regards to additional documentation that needs to be gone through, and negotiating price/manpower/etc so I am not working until further notice. We were told this may take a day or two, at which time decisions will have been made, and we find out if we continue forward, or will be moved to another project, or are just out of luck and have to wait for the next project. Sigh. Either way, it's more down time without pay.

Had the boys all together last night for dinner out at Red Robin. It was nice to catch up a bit with the Oldest as we had not seen him since Christmas. He has been extremely busy with the promotion he received earlier this year. Though, working full-time nights, and then scheduled for 8-hour training sessions during the day tend to wear him down. He's young, so will get through it. Just doesn't allow him much time for visiting on his days off, as he catches up on sleep. Hopefully soon the training will be completed.

Not sure what I am going to do with myself today. Probably play some Warcraft, then maybe head to the VFW this afternoon. Paid the Wife's vehicle registration yesterday - geez! I knew a new vehicle would be pricey for registration, but still. I did the two year option, so it was close to $1000. My registration is due this month as well, and is only a couple hundred cheaper. I'm holding out for a minute though, as I was thinking about getting specialty plates for mine. I was thinking VFW auxiliary (the AZ VFW gets $17.50 of the $25 if chosen) but am having issues picking a name/word/phrase/funny saying to go on the plate. Limited to 6 characters (alpha/numeric), and spaces can be used, but NOT at the end or the beginning. I'll think some more today.
