Three Day Weekends....

 Seems like everyone is running off from the Valley this weekend. I know RM/PT are headed to visit with Sis and family over in NM this weekend. Other friends are camping up in Verde Valley. Me? I'm stuck here in the heat.

Was up bright and early today, about 5:15am. I slept decently, and am guessing that is why I woke early as I did. Figured I had stuff I needed to get done today, prior to the holiday weekend, so went ahead and got out of bed. 

I set up the laptop and began working on the minutes from my meetings on Tuesday. Our Chair for the Entertainment Comm had asked me if I could send her my notes (though I am sure she is a better note-taker than I am, and I am not the Secretary for that committee). So I typed something basic up for her, emailed it off. Then I started in on the House Comm minutes. I was going off my notes I had written as we went through the agenda, but I knew there were more notes somewhere I remembered taking down... but where? I finished up the minutes as best I could, and as I was getting ready to send off for approval, I found the extra notes. Forgot I had the laptop up and writing things down as well. So back to corrections and adding the stuff I had not had in before. Sigh. Finally got hat done, and emailed off to the Chair for approval. This husband and wife are the two Chairs for the two committees, and both are out of town in the Verde Valley for the weekend. I was told they had access to excellent wifi at the Ranch they are at, so will see. Allegedly, the House minutes need to get to the Adjutant prior to Tuesday's General meeting.

That done, I finally got around to labeling sections of my accordion file for all the committees and other things I am a member of or Secretary of. Printed out some fresh sign-in sheets for the next couple meetings. I can rest for a week prior to having to write up the agenda for the next Riders Group meeting. I have a feeling, there won't be much to it, as we still haven't had anything really going on as of yet. Hopefully attendance numbers will change (increase) with the new date/time for our meetings.

Then I went through one of the many notebooks I keep around me at the desk here. This one is the one that I write down lists of movies I saw a trailer for, and looked interesting. I looked up the ones not scratched off the list already, and saved them into my bookmarks to clear up space in the notebook. There are a few that are either too new, or were never put into production (I am guessing) so some stay on the list. I need to get to the next notebook, as it is the one with all the TV shows I am currently watching, and what season/episode I am ready for next. Need to probably re-write them out so it is in a more legible way, as well as clarifying the ones I decided to still watch, and removing the ones I didn't care for.

Thirsty Thursday, so you know what I have planned!! One of my buddies and I usually meet up on Thursday afternoons, and I expect the same this week. The Wife did come in this morning around 7am'ish to let me know she is off work today due to low census. But I already have my plans laid out for the day.

With that being said, I guess I should get off of here and get something else done. Maybe work on going through my new trauma kit to familiarize where everything is at inside it.

I sat here for several minutes this morning, trying to clear the cobwebs in my head, and deciding what I feel like sharing this morning - if anything. So far all I have accomplished is getting my sugar and BP checks done (both were fine). I haven't even got to popping the handful of pills yet, though between sentences typed, I am getting out each day's dose. Now I am debating if I should take the allergy pill or not. Yesterday was not too bad with the runny eyes, etc, but I also was hardly outside. Might as well take one to be safe. So, you be creative, and pick a post title.

Today, I tell myself, I am going to get things done. I need to take some pictures of the damage to my office chair, to send off for the claim on it. I'm going to include some of the wear and tear as well, to help encourage them. Which reminds me I still need a picture of the Wife's Drivers License, as I am trying to get her birth certificate ordered. Arizona has delayed several times the requirement for air travel, a special "star" on your DL, that can only be obtained by providing proof of residency. Funny, but how did we get a driver's license without the birth cert before? Duh! Either way, she only has a basic photocopy of hers, so we are ordering a fresh certified one. We decided to do this, as we never know when we may need to travel via airline, and never sure when they will require it. I think it is just another way to charge us money.

I also need to get another book review written up. I guess this book is being released in the next few days, and they would like the review up before then. Shouldn't be too hard - I enjoyed the story. The Company has not contacted me about a project yet, so I am still in limbo there. I did get an email back, basically saying they received my notification of availability. That's plus in my book.

Okay, pills have been popped. That's your only warning if things start getting weird around here.

Thursday means it is 'Thirsty Thursday' and is the day the one friend of mine is "allowed out" for a couple hours. I am sure we will be meeting up this evening at one of our watering holes. Kind of funny, that this friend lives literally less than a mile from me, yet I never see him except Thursdays. Between his work schedule, and his weird wife.... Yes, I said weird wife. I won't go into detail, but she is very controlling.

Other than that, looks like my day is going to be wasted either napping (debating going back to bed already) or playing World of Warcraft. Decisions are so hard....
