Only The Gray Ones ...

 ... are the ones I want to get cut. That means a full haircut these days. I have an IOP session this morning, then nothing until evening time for a House Comm. meeting. I did get the Agenda done on Sunday and sent out. Then yesterday, the Chair sends an email out of two more items to be discussed. Seems some calls came in yesterday (after I sent the Agenda). Sigh. I didn't revise. It's all new business so I will just add to the Minutes as such.

IOP - we are down to one week left. The 9th is my last session, and I 'graduate'. Once I get the letter and certificate, I will forward on to Mayo Clinic, and have them review things to be sure all the items that were deferred before are completed. The ones under my control, I have marked off my copy of the list (8-week IOP, AA meetings, vaccinations). The vaccinations they said could actually be done while I am on the waiting list, and I probably should get the meningitis done, but the couple Walgreens near me are out of it, and so is my PCP's office. I am mixed about completing this IOP. I actually have learned quite a bit that has helped me change my outlook on Life, and how to be more self-aware. But I don't want to pay more money to extend the time. Besides, I don't think there is much more they cover that hasn't been done this past 7 weeks.

I am getting a haircut today. I have been saying that for a week now, but when I have the time to do it, I forget to go. I don't schedule my haircuts at a salon, but just use Great Clips services. I plan to do it this afternoon.

I have been having a toothache off and on for the past couple months - since the last appointment I had with the dentist. It isn't his fault. He had me start using a water pik, and I think it did so well, that when I use it between certain teeth, it found the sore spot. So it will flare up for several hours to a day, then fade away for multiple days at a time - always when I need to schedule the deep cleaning he wants to do, and a couple extractions - the one that hurts was a later on down the line one. I had been waiting to hear about the disability getting approved so I can pay for the work being done, and now it is here, I need to get things scheduled. The dentist has some unconventional hours, and are not open until Wednesday (they are open on Saturdays though), so that will be a call first thing tomorrow.

Welp, I guess that's all I have today. I need to call and cancel my paracentesis that is scheduled for Wednesday, and move it to the end of June to keep my "rolling appointment" until I need it.

Parties and Rain

 It is overcast this morning. Looks like it rained (or is raining). For AZ that is good - we can always use it if it comes in small spurts, rather than pouring downfalls (flooding and the desert ya know). My neice's daughter is having a birthday party today, that was supposed to be outside, but am guessing will be inside now. RM had mentioned it is a Tea Party, and was going to be crowde3dc if everyone is inside. Oh Well. The Wife had stated awhile back she was going, though it is at my Sister's house (whom we have not gotten on with well). Last night I found out my Daughter and Doodad were going to be there - so now I have to go so I can see them.

I guess that that means it is hair day. I have been letting mine grow out the past month or two, and it is at that stage where you cannot do anything with it (too short) and yet it still sticks out any-which-way. I'll buzz it back down to the scalp this morning before the party, and probably trim up around the beard.

Santa Run is coming up soon. My buddy and I (creators/sponsors) are set to rent the 25-man bus this weekend, and start contacting the 23 people that said they are going. I'm sure we will have five or so back out last minute, but usually pick up at least three more extras. Still a fun time, and I enjoy it quite a bit as my Oldest Son goes. Gives us time to hang out and catch up, plus have a drink or seven together.

Tonight I might be going to the VFW - haven't decided. But the drawing for a chance at around $9600+ is tempting. Think I might even try to get the Wife to go.

Welp, it is Clash Day (in a viking themed game I play) so I'm off to war.

Fresh Starts

 I have a feeling that today is going to bring about some fresh starts. I have a Doctor's appointment, and I am guessing a few will be stemming from that visit. Weird though, how my best glucose level, and probably BP reading was this morning, than I have had in three months... go figure.

I chopped it off. Well, more like buzzed it down with hair clippers. I have kept my hair short (near the scalp) for several years. Most of the reasoning was because I worked in a non-air-conditioned facility a good part of the day. Well, I left that job almost exactly 2 1/2 years ago, but still kept my hair short. The Wife has been nagging/asking/begging me to grow it back out to how I styled in my younger years. I tried. I gave it a go. So for the last two months, I've let it grown to about 1-2 inches. It was at that stage where it just sticks up all over, and no amount of gel is going to get it to lay down. It's still warm here in the Valley, and wearing a hat all the time is just not comfortable (or appropriate attire sometimes). I waited till she left, then buzzed it back down again this morning. Feels so much better!

I see I made it over my reading goal for the year, and yet there are three months left. I wonder how many I will end up with by 12/31....

Went to Tucson for the concert yesterday. Due to a mix-up, we were about 40 minutess late to the concert. I ain't pointing fingers, but someone didn't read the full name of the place, and we ended up at the wrong location. We did make it before the first set-break, and was able to enjoy the second half of the show. Made it back home around 10:30 I think it was. I was beat by then, after not sleeping well the night before. I was a bit surprised when the Wife's alarm went off this morning, that I had no recollections of waking during the night. Maybe that was why my readings were good this morning?

Welp, nothing much to do this morning. Appointment isn't until around 3pm, so got time to kill.

Mid-Week Crisis

I need to cut my hair. It's been over a month since I last did it, and I can tell it needs it again. Most people probably have to go out, schedule an appointment with a stylist/barber... but not me. I have the home kit, and a #2 trim piece attached to the buzzing, hand-he;d hair chopper works just fine. My only concern is do I have time in my 'oh so busy' schedule to get it done... followed bya shower to get all that hair off of me.

Wow, and just like that, I have nothing else.
